Healthcare Support

First Class Support provides healthcare support to individuals within their own homes and within clinical care settings. Our goal is to enhance the physical and psychological wellbeing of others, by ensuring the provision of trained and licensed professionals. The healthcare we currently offer falls into the following categories:

Live-In Care

Live-in care is when a care professional lives in the client’s home to ensure their needs to be met around the clock. This means that care is available throughout the day and night.

Live-in care is an increasingly popular alternative to moving into a care home, especially for those who have higher support needs. It enables individuals to stay within their own homes, which is often a more comfortable and familiar environment. For most people it offers a way of continuing to live independently at home in also within their local community.

First Class Support offers live-in care on a fulltime, part-time and respite basis. When live-in care is requested, we will initially conduct a thorough but informal assessment that is completed either in-person or remotely. Our assessments aim to identify and establish the care needs and individual preferences of each client we support. We then match the client to a support worker, who we feel is best suited. Clients are then provided with the profile of the chosen support worker(s) and encouraged to meet during a complimentary induction session, before engaging.

Visiting Care

Visiting care is when a care professional visits the home of the client for an hour or two, once or multiple times a day. The care that is typically provided during visiting care is focused on practical, emotional and personal care support.

Visiting care can involve anything from support with chores to supervision of medication and help with feeding. As a result, visiting care can support independent living and make an enormous difference to quality of life. This can also involve chaperoning and befriending services.

Befriending

It has been recently reported that loneliness is a bigger health risk than obesity or smoking, with loneliness increasing the likelihood of early death by 50%.

Our befriending support services can be conducted either remotely or face-to-face. across the entire UK. Unlike many volunteer-based befriending services, we aim to ensure continuity of support whereby our clients will meet only one befriender, unless otherwise requested. This will facilitate the forging of a genuine, trusting and caring friendship. All our befrienders are DBS checked and have experience of delivering practical and befriending support.

Our befrienders can:

  • Make daily/weekly phone calls for a general conversation.
  • Meet in-person at the home of the client or at a public place for a chat.
  • Support someone with domestic duties.
  • Assist an individual with organising and managing bills and mail.
